“Being your First Lady has been the greatest honor of my life,” said Michelle Obama in front of an audience of educators in the East Room, and with tearful eyes she continued “And I hope I’ve made you proud.”

Born as Michelle LaVaughn Robinson on January 17, 1964 in South Side of Chicago, Illinois is an American lawyer, writer, and is the first African-American First Lady of the United States. Obama is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, and spent her early legal career working at the law firm Sidley Austin, where she met her husband, the 44th and current President of the United States, Barack Obama. Barack and Michelle married in 1992 and have two daughters, Malia Obama Sasha Obama.

As First Lady, Michelle Obama’s first lead role in an administration was wide initiative. Michelle Obama’s goal was to make big progress in reversing the 21st century trend of wight problems between the youth.
