Sweet Cakes bakery in Portland will have to pay a $135,000 fine for refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding, said KOIN Channel 6 on Thursday.

The owners closed their bakery and appealed the fine — which they paid in 2015 but which has been held by the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries since then.

However, a panel of three judges — Joel DeVore, Chris Garrett and Bronson James — ruled in favor of plaintiffs Laurel and Rachel Bowman-Pryor, whose 2013 wedding Aaron and Melissa Klein refused to bake a cake for, sparking a national controversy.

Furthermore, the judges found that the Kleins intentionally inflicted emotional harm on the Bowman-Pryors by sharing their address and contact information online and urging Evangelicals to bombard the couple with hate mail and try to have their children taken away.
