An iconic Brooklyn restaurant won’t host a gun auction and pro-NRA fundraising event after federal, state and city politicians blasted the event as “profoundly disappointing” following the Parkland shooting that killed 17 people.

Gargiulo’s Restaurant in Coney Island tweeted Thursday that it canceled an April 12 fund-raiser for “Brooklyn’s Friends of NRA.”

“The Russo family of Gargiulo’s Restaurant has provided a venue for thousands of community events & family celebrations,” the tweet said.

“They thank everyone for their interest in this important dialogue & have decided it best to cancel the event.”

The pro-NRA group planned an auction and raffle for prizes like a “2018 Gun of the Year set.”
