Christian leader Jerry Falwell Jr. wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post comparing Donald Trump to renowned British prime minister Winston Churchill.
“We need a leader with qualities that resemble those of Winston Churchill, and I believe that leader is Donald Trump,” Falwell Jr. wrote. “As Churchill did, Trump possesses the resolve to put his country first and to never give up in a world that is increasingly hostile to our values.”
The president of Liberty University and avid supporter of Trump, said if more people carried guns, “we could end those Muslims.”
Not only did Falwell say Trump is the “Churchillian leader,” but he also described Obama and Clinton as the “Neville Chamberlains of our time.” Chamberlainwas the prime minister before Churchill who gave a portion of Czechoslovakia to Hitler in an effort to pacify him.
