Jim Bakker claims he had received a revelation showing him that Jesus Christ supports Trump’s plan to arm teachers.

“God came to me in a dream last night, and he was wearing camouflage, a hunting vest and had an AR-15 strapped to his back,” said Bakker on his television show. “To me, that is a sign that he is against gun control. God ordained Donald Trump and he supports his plan to arm teachers.”

This is a message that is also supported by some other Evangelicals. According to Raw Story, parishioners of the Sanctuary Church and Rod of Iron Ministries also believe Jesus will return bearing a semi-automatic rifle.

“This will be a big thing for us. It’s a new stage for us because it incorporates the rod of iron, as it is in Revelations. Revelations talks about the returning Christ ruling with the rod of iron,” said Tim Elder, a member of the church. “This rod of iron is the AR-15, in today’s terms.”

According to Bakker and the right-wing preacher Lance Wallnau going against Trump is going against God. Both of them celebrated the failure of Olympic athletes who had criticized Trump.

“It is odd that all these athletes who dissed President Trump went on to lose. Don’t they know by now that if they just support him, they would have so much winning that they’ll get bored with it?” said Wallnau.

He also said “This president is anointed. He is anointed and he is appointed and I pray for him because why in the world should he have to suffer this kind of perpetual disrespect and dishonor? He hasn’t done anything. It’s the crazy liberal media, the Democratic media is off it’s flippin’ rocker.”
