First lady Melania Trump feels humiliated and will no longer join Donald Trump on his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The first lady’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told CNN that the First Lady will skip the trip over “scheduling and logistical issues.”
The president will travel to the gathering of global elites later this week. Melania Trump was initially set to join her husband in a show of support, Grisham said last week.
The First Lady has not made a public statement since January 12, when news of a possible payoff from her husband’s lawyer to adult actress Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged affair was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
However, Melania Trump was not spotted with her husband during two evening dinners hosted by Trump, one with former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and another with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
