Comedian Rosie O’Donnell made an interesting offer to two moderate Republican Senators, Susan Collins (ME) and Jeff Flake (AZ). If they voted “no” on GOP Tax bill, she would give them $2 million each.

It didn’t work, and though this could just be a comedian being satirical, Conservatives are calling for O’Donnell to be charged with bribery.

It’s hard to say the comedian was being serious. When people questioned her in replied, she responded: “i swear i will write them a check.”

If she was serious, she actually is breaking a Federal law which states that anyone who “directly or indirectly, corruptly gives, offers or promises anything of value to any public official” with the intent to “influence any official act.” O’Donnell could end up having to pay three times the amount of the bribe and/or going to prison for up to 15 years.
