Donald Trump loves to tweet a lot just about everything, and usually in many ways that embarrass the nation. He had multiple tweets about the Morning Joe Staff, Hilary Clinton, Obama, even tweeted multiple times to promote the US Open. Trump claims that his presence on Twitter makes him a “modern day” President.

But this modern-day President tweeted just once about the Marine plane crash on July 10th.

No names of the victims, no follow ups. Nothing about their contribution, or sympathy for their families. Just an update and a horribly inappropriate use of an exclamation point.

One person who has a legitimate issue with Trump’s complete disregard for the victims is Anna Johnson, the widow of Gunnery Sgt. Brendan C. Johnson.

Anna Johnson, the widow of Gunnery Sgt. Brendan C. Johnson wants America to know who these men were, and what they accomplished, especially since their military ranks haven’t been reported correctly yet.

“My husband and his “brothers” deserve MORE than a tweet!!! I don’t know how to get through to tell this president and congress how insulted I am for that? He could have had a press conference, a written statement. Anything BUT a tweet?? I want someone to tell this president and country how my heart aches that he is so disrespectful. My husband is worth more than a tweet.”

Seems that President Trump cares more about complaining about CNN and other networks than he does for the families of these Marines.

Anna Johnson’s full letter:

I am a wife of one of the fallen Marines on July 10. I am writing to you, because, I hope you can help me. As you being such a military advocate I hope you can understand my frustrations.
A. My husband and his “brothers” deserve MORE than a tweet!!! I don’t know how to get through to tell this president and congress how insulted I am for that? He could have had a press conference, a written statement. Anything BUT a tweet?? I want someone to tell this president and country how my heart aches that he is so disrespectful. My husband is worth more than a tweet.
B. Their ranks. I have sent some news stations the correct ranks so they can change them when they are printed wrong. No reply, nothing. Here is a list of their names and proper ranks. I want other news stations that put out wrong rank information, to understand that not getting this right, is ignorant. They EARN rank! In the USMC, a Sgt. is different than a Staff Sgt. or a Gunny Sgt.. Please help me set the record straight. Here is a list of their names and ranks.
I’ll not even mention the flags not being at half-mast, but if you could help the country understand how hurtful all this is. I know the likelihood of no one reading this, but I have to try.
Thank you.
Anna Johnson
